Highlights - Taking the lead in waste water

Following a strategic focus on becoming a global leader in solid waste treatment and management, we are proud to announce some recent groundbreaking contract wins in the Middle East, China and Australia.

In October 2007, KEPPEL Corporation’s environmental engineering arm, Keppel Integrated Engineering (KIE) won a contract through its subsidiary Keppel Seghers to provide its technology and services to a consortium building a A$76 million facility in Australia.

The new biosolids thermal drying facility is for Barwon Water, one of the largest water corporations in Victoria. It will process the region’s 54,000 tonnes of biosolids produced each year, providing sustainable biosolids management for Barwon Water.

In September 2007, Keppel Seghers won a A$1.17billion contract to design and build the largest greenfield wastewater treatment and water reuse facility in Qatar as well as and operate and maintain the facility for 10 years.

Also in September 2007, Keppel Seghers won a A$17 million contract to design, build and operate a wastewater treatment and reuse plant in Algeria.
